Baisha Bay

Pak Sha Wan (English: Pak Sha Wan), a former Bay of Hong Kong, is located in the Eastern District of Hong Kong Island. It is now the location of Xinghua estate, a property built by MTR Corporation. In 1922, Baisha Bay was marked as Lyee Mun Bay, which means liyumen Bay.

Baisha Bay was originally a rocky beach. In the 1970s, it became the site for the construction of the Hong Kong Metro Cross Harbour Tunnel components. From 1982 to 84, MTR developed the Hong Kong Island line. Instead of the traditional Chaiwan road to Chaiwan, the route changed from Shau Kei Wan to the terminal. The MTR Corporation decided to develop a large-scale private housing estate on the Pak Sha Wan reclamation and set up a station. The "Pak Sha Wan Station" was one of the names considered at that time. And the rear housing estate is named Xinghua estate, and the MTR station is finally called Xinghua estate station. The place names of Baisha Bay are becoming less and less used.

Baisha Bay in Guizhou is famous for its abundant peach and aquatic products. At the first appraisal meeting, a single 1040g peach became the biggest peach in Baisha Bay and was selected into the Guinness Book of records in Shanghai.

In May 2007, the master plan of Baisha bay seaside resort in Yingkou City was formulated by Shanghai Tongji Urban Planning and Design Institute and Australia AOZE consulting (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. The scope of land use of Baisha Bay Tourist Resort is as follows: South to Fudu River, West to Bohai Bay, north to wind farm, north to Lanxi River, bounded by green isolation belt, with a planned land area of 14.2 square kilometers.
