Ivory mountain is the only volcanic rock Geopark in northern Liaoning. In the Jin Dynasty, this mountain was called Songshan, also known as Xiangyang mountain. Later, it became Ivory mountain. In the Qing Dynasty, it was one of the eight famous ancient sceneries in Kaiyuan, Songshan Xianghu. Ivory hill was opened to the public in 1996.

Ivory hill is located in songshanpu, 29 kilometers southeast of Kaiyuan city, 43 kilometers away from Tieling. It is a provincial forest park and one of the eight scenic spots of Kaiyuan in history.

Traffic information

One day when he had a good time, he left the inner camp and was surrounded by Gai Suwen, a traitor of Koguryo, and fled to a cave in Ivory mountain. Gai Suwen set the mountain on fire, which eventually led Xue Rengui to rescue him. Although thousands of years have passed, the rock at the entrance of zangjun cave in Ivory mountain is still blackened. It is said that it is the trace left by Gai Suwen when he set fire to the mountain.

Vientiane tower

The historic Vientiane tower, located on the top of ivory mountain, is a landmark building here. Origin and legend
