Yan'en ancient temple

Yanen ancient temple is located 3 kilometers north of Yongquan Town. It was first built in Jin Dynasty. Huaiyu, a famous monk of Pure Land Sect in Tang Dynasty, was built here. In recent years, the main hall, the heavenly king hall, the Sutra collection building and other architectural complexes have been rebuilt, resplendent and magnificent. It is surrounded by elegant environment, such as the ancient road, the west mountain waterfall, the dragon pearl pagoda, the immortal ancient well, the brook jade belt, the Dragon horn stalagmite, and the Jinniu swimming in the water. In front of the temple, there are a lot of orange trees. In spring, the fragrance is striking. In autumn, the golden fruit is hanging. It's another scene.

Yan'en ancient temple

Yan'en temple, located at the foot of Tianzhu Mountain in the northeast of Yongquan Town, Linhai, was first built in Taikang middle of Jin Dynasty (280-289).

The old name of the temple is Yongquan, which is named after zhuo'an, Ren Xu's younger brother, who recites the Lotus Sutra. In Russia, there is a spring from Diyong, who was born into the white lotus.

history

The temple tower was built in the 18th year of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (393). The brick of the tower has the inscription of "big axe, middle axe and small axe".

In the Tang Dynasty, Huaiyu, an eminent monk of the Pure Land Sect, lived here for meditation, which made him famous. Xiantongzhong (860-874) changed the present amount.

During the Five Dynasties, abbot Jingxin, a famous monk, gave lectures. Since then, there has been the rise and fall of the generation.

In 1643, master Liuke Daoqi lived here from Nengren temple in Dongye mountain. He rebuilt the main hall, Zhaitang and Zen house, opened the living pool and planted bamboo and cypress widely. It was built in four years, so it was called "Zhongxing".

In 1680, Feng Su, a native of Li Dynasty, donated money to build FA Tang, which was later abolished.

Daoguang 17 years (1837) reconstruction, later because of the poor management of monks, gradually withered.

It was rebuilt in 1914 and took ten years to complete.

During the cultural revolution, the main hall and the heavenly king hall were demolished, leaving only 15 Abbot buildings and five attached rooms.

In 1993, Ms. Wang Jiaqi of Hong Kong invested in the reconstruction of the main hall, while Ms. Chen Jinling rebuilt the Tianwang hall and Xiangyun building. Others, such as Shanmen, cangjing building and Abbot building, were rebuilt one after another. The temple is now a Buddhist activity place in Linhai City, and the abbot is master nengjie.

In recent years, the main hall, the heavenly king hall, the Sutra library and other architectural complexes have been rebuilt, resplendent and magnificent. Surrounded by elegant environment, there are ancient Avenue, Xishan waterfall, Longzhu pagoda, Xianren ancient well, Xiaoxi Yudai, Longjiao stalagmite, Jinniu water and other scenery, collectively known as "yanen eight scenery". In front of the temple, there are a lot of orange trees. In spring, the fragrance is striking. In autumn, the golden fruit is hanging. It's another scene.
