Sanfeng ancient city site

Sanfeng ancient city, also known as taoshengjing ancient city, is located about 5 kilometers away from Sumu, hatengtaohai, Dengkou county. It was built in the second year of Yuanshou (121 BC) of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty. The ancient city has inner city and outer city. The inner city wall is about 118 meters long. There are remains of earthen walls in the north and southwest of the outer city. There is a collapsed mound in the southwest corner of the inner city. Inside and outside the inner city, bricks, tiles and pottery pieces can be found. There are a large number of arrow buttresses and arrow clusters, all of which are relics of the Eastern Han Dynasty. In the 0.5-meter-deep soil near the southeast corner of the inner city and the outer city, a cultural layer was found. Within the scope of the site are Wu Zhu, Daquan coins and other cultural relics from the period of Emperor Wu and Wang Mang.
