Kaifeng Jewish mosque is the only temple with ruins to be found after Jews settled in China. In the Northern Song Dynasty, the capital of Tokyo (now Kaifeng) was inhabited by Jews who came to do business in the Song Dynasty. The mosque was built in the first year of emperor Xiaozong Longxing (1163) of the Southern Song Dynasty. The temple was destroyed in the mid-19th century. Fortunately, the French priest Meng Zhengqing once drew two pictures for the temple, one is the panoramic view of the temple, the other is the inner view of the temple, so that the appearance of the Jewish mosque which has existed in Kaifeng for about 700 years can be preserved. According to the picture, the temple is 130 meters long from east to west and 50 meters wide from south to north. Behind the gate, there is a memorial archway with a plaque on it written by Emperor Kangxi. The main hall is called "Yici Leye hall", and there are "Kangxi second year stele" and "Hongzhi stele" on the left and right. In the back of the hall is "heaven", which originally contained many scriptures. Unfortunately, most of them were looted by European and American missionaries.
