Huangzhong County Museum

Huangzhong County Museum, located in Huangzhong County, Qinghai Province, is about one kilometer away from the famous Qinghai temple Ta'er temple. The building area is more than 1100 square meters. Most of the exhibits are cultural relics unearthed in the county. Among them, the most important ones are the painted pottery of the kayo culture unearthed from the kayo village of the county, the silk and glaze products unearthed from the Han tombs, the metal and ceramic artifacts selected from the Ta'er Temple collection for exhibition, and the carving works of bamboo, wood, jade and ivory with different textures. The museum has a collection of more than 8000 pieces, featuring ethnic and religious relics of the county. Due to its outstanding contribution to the reform and development of cultural heritage protection, on May 24, 2007, Huangzhong County Museum was awarded the glorious title of advanced collective of national cultural relics system by the Ministry of personnel and the State Administration of cultural relics.
