Tomb of Muhammad Kashkari

Mahmoud Kashkari, a Kashgar in the era of the karahan Dynasty, is a famous Uygur scholar and linguist in the era of the karahan Dynasty in the 11th century.

Its tomb is 48 kilometers away from Kashgar City. From Shufu county to the southwest, it drives along national highway 314. After passing through the vast Gobi, it comes to the oasis town of uPAR. The present mausoleum was rebuilt in 1985. On the east side of the mausoleum, there is a mosque for Islamic tourists and nearby villagers to pray. On the north side of the mausoleum, there is a cultural relics exhibition room, which displays the Turkic dictionary and the biography of Muhammad Kashkari.

In addition, there is a clear spring in front of the mausoleum, which is called "holy spring and holy water". There is a cluster of ancient poplar beside the spring. Its trunk is old and vigorous, and its branches are luxuriant.

Traffic information: take No.4 bus from Kashi nanjiansi to the terminal of Shufu county (17km, by bus)

There will be people waiting for the bus across the road from the terminal. There are some passing minibuses to various townships. However, there are not many buses to wupar township (20km, 30 minutes by taxi).

It costs 40 yuan to take a taxi from here to wupar township. After a while, several people on the same road will be asked to share the cost. It's only 1km from wupar township to Muhammad Kashkari's tomb, 10 minutes' walk, or 2 yuan per person by tricycle
