Transformation process

Xinyi international conference hall was originally the site and workshop of Guangdong water conservancy and hydropower plant. Later, it was transformed into a cultural, commercial and exhibition place by several real estate developers who studied architecture. The overall design here retains the basic structure of the plant, but transforms the doors, windows, walls and many details of the house in a modern style. The old sleepers are used to lay the courtyard floor or make the foundation line; the mottled and damp exterior walls are stripped and replaced with cement, green bricks or red bricks; the green bricks removed from the old houses are bought back to lay the floor and part of the pavement. All the slogans engraved on the walls of the factory buildings and 83 ancient banyan trees in the whole area were intact. The edge of the stump is based on its original shape to outline a variety of free and abstract forms. The pottery pot placed in a corner is used as a dustbin. The simple material and environment are so matched. In the evening, there are all kinds of fashion exhibitions or shows in the international hall, which are mostly quiet.
