Wufu Pavilion

Wufu Pavilion is a pavilion with five corners. In traditional Chinese culture, there is a saying that "Wufu is near the door". Wufu refers to longevity, wealth, health, virtue and good death. "Five blessings at the gate" represents people's multiple yearning for happiness since ancient times. It is said that once upon a time, there was a reservoir in the west of wufuting. The water in the reservoir was clear and refreshing, so people around climbed to the top of the mountain to pick up water from the reservoir. Because of the rugged mountain road, the water dripped on the edge of the reservoir, attracting many small animals to drink here. One day, five bats flew over the reservoir and fell here to drink. They found that the water was as sweet as honey. Since then, they often come here to drink. In the long run, they found that: the people here go up and down the mountain to carry water many times a day, very hard, but there is no place to have a cool rest on the mountain. So the five bats curled on a big tree branch and opened their wings to build a cool canopy for the people who came up to the mountain to rest, benefiting the people in the mountain. Later, people built the Wufu Pavilion in memory of the five bats. It happens that "bat" and "Fu" are homonymous, so "Wufu Pavilion" further confirms that darushan leisure tourism resort is a blessed place.
