Sha Wenqiu's former residence

Sha Wenqiu's former residence is located in Sha Village, Yin county. It is an old brick and wood building with two rooms and four bays. Martyr Sha Wenqiu was born here in 1904, and the Sha family ranked second. He once served as Secretary General of Guangzhou Communist Youth League Municipal Committee. He died in Guangzhou Honghuagang in 1928 and was one of the 72 martyrs of Huanghuagang. There are five brothers in Sha family. Besides Sha Wenqiu's martyrs, there are also Sha Menghai, the eldest brother's calligraphy master, Changsha Wenhan, the first province of Zhejiang Province, Sha Wenhan's wife Chen Xiuliang, Sha Wenwei (Shi Yong), the underground worker of the fourth party, and Sha Jitong, who went to Yan'an during the Anti Japanese war.

Former residence building

The original flat house in the front row of Sha's former residence (later demolished and rebuilt the patio, planted two osmanthus trees), and the back row building is the place where Sha Menghai, Sha Wenqiu, Sha Wenhan, Sha Wenwei and Sha Jitong were born, lived and worked. The former residence of Sha family is the former residence of shawenqiu martyr. In June 1984, the people's Government of Yin County listed the former residence of the martyrs as a key cultural relics protection unit at the county level. In 1996, it was listed as the patriotic education base of Yin county. In March 2005, the people's Government of Zhejiang Province named Sha's former residence as a provincial cultural relic protection unit. In the same year, it was named Ningbo patriotism education base.

On the gate of the former residence, there are seven golden words "Sha Wenqiu's former residence" written by Sha Wenqiu's brother, Changsha Menghai. They are vigorous, powerful and shining. The exhibition room of the martyrs' deeds of Sha Wenqiu is located in the third room on the left side of the first floor. On the lintel is a plaque of "Sha's former residence" written by Zhu guantian, vice president of the Chinese Calligraphers Association and President of Xiling printing society. There is a martyr statue by Sha Qi in the room. On the wall behind the statue, there are ten characters written by Sha Menghai: "and it's a loyal soul dance, it's amazing to the world." on both sides of the pillars, there are also poems written by Sha Menghai: "how ambitious to sacrifice, dare to teach the sun and the moon to change the sky.". The exhibition room shows Sha Wenqiu's short and glorious life as a member and secretary-general of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League and his heroic sacrifice from his student days to the road of revolution. Sha Wenqiu (1904 ~ 1928) was born in Sha Village, Daxian Township, Yin county. He was an outstanding member of the early Communist Party of China and a famous martyr who died after the Guangzhou Uprising. He once served as secretary of the CPC Ningbo prefectural committee Yinxian Shacun branch, Secretary of the Communist Youth League Guangdong University (today's Sun Yat sen University) branch, member of the Communist Youth League Guangzhou Municipal Committee and head of the youth vanguard, propaganda minister and Secretary General of the Communist Youth League Guangzhou Municipal Committee. He died in Guangzhou in August 1928. He was twenty-four years old. The other rooms downstairs of Sha's former residence are the exhibition rooms of Sha Menghai, Sha Wenhan and Chen Xiuliang, Sha Wenwei and Sha Wendu. The first room in the east of the former residence displays the daily necessities and furniture used by the Sha family. In the second room, letters from 14 celebrities such as Zhang Shizhao, Wang Gezhen, Huang Binhong, Wu Changshuo and Guo Moruo to Sha Menghai are displayed, as well as pictures of Sha brothers' mother Chen Ling and Sha Menghai, Sha Wenqiu, Sha Wenhan and Chen Xiuliang, Sha Wenwei and his wife, Sha Wendu's oil paintings and the establishment of Sha Menghai calligraphy college. Outside the back wall of the former residence is a small garden. There is a ginkgo tree planted by the martyr shawenqiu. Now it is luxuriant and verdant.
