Guazhou ancient ferry scenic spot

The poet Bai Juyi of everlasting longing for each other in the Tang Dynasty: "Bian river current, Si River current, flow to Guzhou ancient trail head", Song Dynasty Wang Anshi "boat boat Guzhou" poem "Jing Kou Gua Zhou Shui Shui, Zijin Mountain only separates several heavy mountains", all refer to here.

This was the starting point of Tang Dynasty monk Jianzhen's eastward journey to Japan. It is said that "Du Shiniang angrily sank a hundred treasure boxes" is where the famous poets of the past dynasties shed countless poems and ink. The ancient ferry site, imperial stele Pavilion and caisson Pavilion attract people's reverie. Yinling tower, Jinchun garden, yingyingchi, yuanzhongyuan and other scenic spots are newly built in the scenic area, which are connected with the ancient canal scenery belt.

Guazhou ancient ferry scenic spot

Guazhou gudu scenic spot is a national water conservancy scenic spot. It is located at the intersection of the lower reaches of Yangzhou ancient canal and the Yangtze River. It is 15km away from the historical and cultural city of Yangzhou. Runyang highway bridge, Zhenyang Qidu and Yangzhou port are adjacent to it. Zhenjiang Jinshan Temple is opposite to the park across the river.

Ancient culture

"Si current, Bian current, flow to Guazhou ancient ferry head". Jianzhen, an eminent monk of the Tang Dynasty, sailed to Japan from here. Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong and poets of all dynasties passed through Guazhou, leaving many well-known poems. This is where the story of Du Shiniang's angry sinking of the treasure chest takes place. Gudu site, imperial stele Pavilion and caisson pavilion have become good places for Chinese and foreign guests to explore the ancient.

New look

Guazhou sluice management office actively responds to the call of the Ministry of water resources, makes full use of water and soil resources, excavates historical deposits, beautifies environmental construction, and vigorously develops tourism projects on the basis of paying close attention to the safe operation management of water conservancy project control locks, ship locks, pumping stations and drainage locks. The gate area has been landscaped, including Yinling tower, Jinchun garden, Yingying pool, Yuanzhong garden, Guazhou ancient ferry monument, archway, caisson Pavilion, tide Pavilion, swimming pool and other scenic spots, and has invested in the expansion of tourism service facilities such as gudu Hotel and Nanyuan restaurant. Now it has become a leisure, tourism and entertainment place integrating historical relics with modern cultural landscape appreciation.

Over the years, this "oasis" has received foreign guests from 93 countries, 7 presidents and 89 ministerial guests, as well as hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the country. The park is adjacent to the river, surrounded by water on all sides, with lush forests, flowers in all seasons, uneven buildings, pavilions and pavilions, and historical sites, which can be called "the Pearl of ancient ferry and the gem of riverside".
