Jiulongwan lava scenic spot

Jiulongwan lava scenic spot is located in Xinsi village, Jiulong Township, northeast of Jingning She Autonomous County, 58 kilometers away from the county. It is composed of shijiangjun, shiguanyin and shizhongfeng scenic spots. The geological relics and scenic spots are distributed in shidanwan, Zhoushan, Lingli, bunker and Pingpen area of 73.5 square kilometers, with steep terrain and strong cutting.

Jiulongwan volcanic rocks are formed in Jurassic, mainly composed of jiuliping formation effusive layered rhyolite (porphyry) and bulbous rhyolite, and locally composed of collapsed rhyolitic agglomerate Jiaola lava. In the scenic area, the landscapes of stone general, fairy flower offering, welcome old man, sleeping lion peak, stone horse, stone clock peak and Denver dinosaur stone egg are very rare. Stone general (shame girl peak) and fairy flower offering (Xiaowu gorge) together form Yin Yang valley.

In the scenic area, there are various natural and harmonious peaks, rocks, waterfalls, deep pools and secluded caves. Jiulongwan volcanic lava landform is formed by volcanic activity in geological age and erosion and weathering in later years. The scenic spot is a natural landscape in southern Zhejiang with volcanic activity remains, volcanic peak forest landform, stalagmite, stone forest and cliff.
