Xiama stele of Shenyang Palace Museum

Dongxiama stele was erected in the Qing Dynasty and is located in the east of the gate of the emperors' temple. Engraved with Manchu, Han and Mongolian characters, the officials dismounted here to warn all officials that they must dismount and walk before passing the temple to show their respect for the imperial temples of the past dynasties. It was re established in 1999. *Xixiama stele was erected in the Qing Dynasty, located in front of the western side of the imperial temple. In order to show respect for the temples of the emperors of the past dynasties, three characters of Hui, Zang and Tuote were used to engrave officials and people dismounting from the temple, warning all officials that they must dismount and walk when passing by the temple. It was re established in 1999. In front of the gate of the temple, there are two Xiama steles. The base of the stele is rectangular, and there is no tortoise. It is popular among the people that "there is a stele but no burden" refers to the Xiama stele. According to textual research: Qianlu rites rules and other books are called "dismount card". It seems that it was originally a wooden card, which was replaced by a stone tablet at the time of Qianlong. The wooden plate was originally erected outside the zhuzha gate in the south of the bridge. After the stele was changed, it was erected on both sides of the three dry stone bridges. After the dry bridge was removed, the stele was moved to the front porch. (Chen Ping: the only ancient imperial temple in China) the function of the dismounting stele is just like the inscription on the stele: "officials and people wait to dismount here". It tells all officials and people that they must dismount and walk in front of the gate of the ancient imperial temple to show their respect for the emperors and the sages. The Xiama steles on both sides of the East and the West are carved in Manchu, Han, Mongolian, Hui, Tibetan and Tuote languages. Three kinds of characters are engraved on the surface of the stele and three kinds of characters are engraved on the surface of the stele. Moreover, the positions of the characters of different nationalities are exchanged on the two tablets to show that all nationalities are equal. During the cultural revolution, the Xiama tablet was broken and buried underground. In October 1999, the two steles were excavated by the relevant departments and then restored to their original appearance. The cracks on the monument add a sense of vicissitudes.
