The northern modern urban agricultural demonstration park is the first agricultural science and technology demonstration park built by Harbin academy of Agricultural Sciences in Northeast China in early 1999.

The demonstration park (base) is located along the new airport expressway with convenient transportation, No. 288, Chengxiang Road, Daoli District, Harbin city. Covering an area of 127000 square meters, it now has two intelligent multi span greenhouses of 10000 square meters imported from Holland, one gf-80 greenhouse of 1070 square meters imported from American fat dragon company, eight high-efficiency and energy-saving solar greenhouses of 3400 square meters, two plant insulation and heating greenhouses of 1500 square meters, and 20 plastic greenhouses of 13340 square meters.

Under the correct leadership and strong support of the state, provinces, cities and other relevant departments, In 2000, the demonstration park was named as "Harbin Youth Science and technology demonstration base" by Harbin Youth League Municipal Committee. In 2001, it was jointly named as "Harbin youth green agriculture practice base" by the Propaganda Department of Harbin Municipal Committee and the Municipal Education Committee. It was rated as "national AA tourist attraction (spot)" by the National Tourism Administration. In 2003, it was rated as "Heilongjiang provincial tourism demonstration spot" and served as an agricultural demonstration base in Heilongjiang Province The only agricultural unit recommended as "national tourism demonstration site" has played a crucial role in the development of the park.
