Sala bengchen
Salabengqin, meaning "Vajra pestle blessing festival of Sala Temple", is a unique religious festival of Sala temple, which has lasted for hundreds of years. December 27th of Tibetan calendar is the last grand religious festival before Tibetan New Year. As a rule, Sala bengchin will last 24 hours every year. Tens of thousands of Tibetan Buddhist believers have come to the sera temple in the northern suburbs of Lhasa to worship, hoping to see and get the blessing of a magic Vajra pestle collected in the temple, and pray for peace and obedience in the coming year.
