Azalea Lake Scenic Spot

Dujuan lake is located in Changshun County, Guizhou Province. It is the political center of Guyelang state. It is a golden triangle with Guiyang and Anshun. It is 102 km east from Guiyang and 85 km west from Anshun. It forms the western tourism circle of Guizhou with Huangguoshu, Longgong, Hongfeng Lake and other famous scenic spots. The scenic area covers an area of over 100 square kilometers, integrating mountains, water and culture. The scenic area includes large-scale Alpine Rhododendron, China's famous historical mountain Baiyun Mountain, mysterious Yelang ancient city, Guangshun Yelang ancient town, Wumahe waterfall group, geconvex River Grand Canyon and other famous scenic spots.

Rhododendron Lake scenic spot is dominated by a 7 km long artificial lake surrounded by mountains. The lake is vast in smoke, the water is green as a mirror, the top of the mountain is covered with smoke, and the bottom of the mountain is swept by microwave. The forest coverage rate of Dujuan lake is nearly 90%, and the original ecological evergreen rhododendron grows.

Main attractions

From February to May every year, Rhododendron blooms all over the mountains and around the lake. From May to July, Myrica rubra has a good harvest. From July to September, wild chestnut, various fragrant fungi and many migratory birds all over the lake.

Changshun County scenic spots are divided into four areas, a total of 51 landscapes.

The first is the azalea Lake area, with 17 landscapes including pearl spring, Huashan, heshangpo, huanglizhong and Dujuan ridge, covering an area of 60 square kilometers. The second is Baiyun Mountain area, which is a Buddhist holy land in the hinterland of Central Guizhou in history. It is said that emperor Jianwen of the Ming Dynasty became a monk here. There are several landscapes in this area, such as baiyun temple front hall site, Shanmen site and so on. Third, Huolian, lifengtang waterfall group and Qinglong mountain are connected together, with a total of 9 landscapes. Fourth, Jiaoma cave burial, Xiadong waterfall and Xiage convex river canyon are connected together, with a total of 4 landscapes.

The features of the scenic spot include the rare ancient ginkgo biloba 600 years ago, the king of fir trees 400 years old, the tomb of Hanlin, the site of xuxiaketing, etc.
