Meiguan scenic spot

Meiguan ancient road was excavated by Zhang Jiuling in the fourth year of Kaiyuan in Tang Dynasty. Meiguan was built on the top of the road. It was built of brick and stone. It faces north in the south, lies horizontally in the East and West, and is close to the cliff. The stone tablet inscribed by Jiang Jie, the magistrate of Nanxiong during the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty, was first engraved on the top of the building. It was written in the north as "Nanyue Xiongguan" and in the South as "the first pass in Lingnan". Now there are only about 8 kilometers of roads on both sides of the building. It is a key cultural relic protection unit of the province.

Meiguan scenic spot, located at the foot of Meiling mountain, 10km south of Dayu County, Jiangxi Province, has become a National Forest Park, a provincial key scenic spot and a provincial patriotism education base. It is a comprehensive scenic spot of nostalgic sightseeing, patriotism education, leisure and vacation, which mainly includes places of interest, natural landscape, cultural landscape and red tourism, and integrates entertainment, fitness and sightseeing.

Development history

Lingshang Meiguan was built in 1063, the eighth year of Jiayou reign of Song Dynasty. It has the spirit of "one man is in charge of the pass, ten thousand men are not allowed to open it". It has always been a place for military strategists. The ancient post road passing through the pass was built by Zhang Jiuling in 716, the fourth year of Kaiyuan in Tang Dynasty. Along the road, post stations, tea booths, inns and pubs were built. For thousands of years, official sedans, merchants' goods and overseas envoys passed through the road, which is known as the "water Silk Road". Meiling is also a famous revolutionary mountain. After the long march of the Central Red Army in October 1934, marshal Chen Yi led the rest of the troops to stick to the arduous three-year guerrilla war in Meiling area, and left heroic poems such as dengdayuling, three chapters of Meiling and sneaking across Meiguan. The planning area of the scenic spot is 3.01 square kilometers, with more than 20 scenic spots. The main scenic spots include fine plum garden, antique residential street, folk custom center, Yu general temple, thousand mu plum forest, Yunfeng temple, Chenyi hiding place, etc. In 1991 and 1992, there were two successive "plum appreciation festivals of China Dayu Meiguan ancient post road".

In the scenic area, a long ancient road passes through the pass, and a faint fragrance of plum comes to my nostrils. The red story is legendary and moving. The scenic area of Meiguan, which is full of ancient, red and green tourism resources, is a combination of "shape, road, plum and earth". Meiling, also known as Dayuling, is located in the scenic spot. It is 746 meters above sea level. The terrain is very dangerous, with many peaks and hundreds of miles. It is the natural barrier of Jiangxi and Guangdong provinces. Meiling is famous for its plum blossoms. Due to the different climate in the South and north of the five ridges, it has created a world-famous spectacle of "flowers fall in the south, and flowers begin to bloom in the north". It has attracted many celebrities of past dynasties, such as Zhang Jiuling, Su Dongpo, Wen Tianxiang, Qi Jiguang, Tang Xianzu, Wang Yangming, and left thousands of plum poems here.
