And Zhu Duanshou

During the great revolution, they studied in Changsha. When the May 30th massacre took place, Changsha, Hunan Province set off an unprecedented wave of anti imperialist anger. Zhu Duanshou and Xiong Xiaosan from the first normal university formed a propaganda team to perform in the countryside to arouse the public. Later, Xiong Xiaosan applied for the Huangpu Military Academy and embarked on the road of military service.

When Xiong Xiaosan learned that the general manager of Xinhua Daily was his old father, he was also in a dilemma. He once said to Shangfeng and his colleagues, "I have no father, only a distant uncle. I haven't seen him for more than 20 years." But as his son, he has to be filial. Before New Year's Eve in 1939, Xiong Xiaosan's regiment killed pigs. He asked the servicemen to deliver more than ten jin of pork to Yingzuiyan. Maybe someone will transfer it to the newspaper. Zhu Duanshou took advantage of this opportunity. I decided to see Xiong Xiaosan in person. In order to get rid of the spy tracking, she pretended to go out to visit, bypassed from Yingzuiyan and walked into Xiong Xiaosan's regimental headquarters.

At this meeting, Zhu Duanshou and Xiong Xiaosan had a very opportunistic talk. Two or three hours passed in a flash. Xiong Xiaosan orders the cooks to prepare dinner and talk while eating. Until then, Xiong Xiaosan politely asked Zhu Duanshou to take a message to his old father. He said, "in the past, because we went on different roads, we have never heard from him these years. Now that the KMT and the Communist Party cooperate in the fight against Japan, our goal is the same. Our two parties should unite and restore our beautiful rivers and mountains... " Zhu Duanshou nodded in agreement. When they left, Xiong Xiaosan and his wife sent her to Yingzuiyan all the time. They also sent some live crucian carp and a piece of bacon to his father.

After returning from Xiong Xiaosan's regimental headquarters, Zhu Duanshou immediately reported what he had learned to Zhou Enlai. After hearing this, Zhou Enlai said with a satisfied smile, "it's not bad, there's a harvest!"

In those years in Chongqing, Zhu Duanshou always took time to visit Xiong Xiaosan every month. From Xiong Xiao, Zhu Duanshou got a lot of useful information. Sometimes, Zhu Duanshou met some strange faces in xiongxiao's family, including officers, politicians and rich ladies playing mahjong at home. When people see Zhu Duanshou's dignified behavior and clever speech, it is hard to avoid whispering. Mrs. Xiong gave a faint smile and said, "she's our middle school classmate. Her husband is a very rich capitalist
