Cuifeng mountain natural scenic spot is a national 4A scenic spot and a national water conservancy scenic spot. The scenic spot is located in Houyu, Pingping Town, the suburb of Yangquan City, Shanxi Province. It is 110 km from Taiyuan in the West and 120 km from Shijiazhuang in the East

Cuifeng mountain scenic area covers an area of 13 square kilometers, 1430 meters above sea level, with an average annual temperature of 11 ℃. It is the first primary secondary forest found in Yangquan City. The forest coverage rate of the scenic spot is more than 97%, and a large number of relatively complete natural primary secondary plants and biological communities are collected and preserved. There are more than 1200 species of plants in the area. Among them, more than 30 kinds of animals, including wolf, red tailed pheasant, wild boar, leopard cat and snake, have been listed as national protected animals. There are more than 300 kinds of wild fruit trees, flowers and medicinal plants. Many trees have the function of absorbing nitric oxide, formaldehyde and other harmful substances to protect the environment. Cuifeng mountain can be called "species gene bank", "Bird Paradise", "snake kingdom", "insect world" and "natural environment regulator" in our province.

Cuifeng has excellent landscape quality, fresh air and high negative ion content. The scenery is picturesque in spring, summer, autumn and winter. There are peach blossoms in spring, green in summer, maple leaves in autumn, and forests in winter. It can be called fairyland and natural oxygen bar.

According to the investigation of Shanxi Branch of Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, Yuejiagou spring in cuifengshan tourist area is: Permian fractured rock water layer, strontium bearing low sodium type drinking natural mineral water, with a water yield of 60m3 / day. The water quality of the mineral spring is good and the water quantity is stable, which has a good prospect for tourism development.

Cuifeng mountain is rich in cultural resources. In the tourist area, there are some anti Japanese War sites, the horse retaining wall site. Temple fairs are held in Houyu village on the second day of August every year.

Cuiping mountain natural scenic spot is a combination of rich cultural landscape and beautiful natural scenery. On the cultural landscape, Zhu Xi, a great Confucian in the Southern Song Dynasty, Du fan, the prime minister in the Southern Song Dynasty, and Huang Guan, the Minister of rites, all left their footprints and poems here. This hillside used to be an access to the mountain. At that time, Huang Guan resigned because of illness and returned to Li. He founded "Shilong academy" on the mountain to promote Neo Confucianism. Before liberation, Wu Wen, the headmaster and writer of Huangyan middle school, was intoxicated by the scenery here and wrote the story of visiting liutan mountain. The third is the Zhuyan stone carving in Zixiao mountain. Zhuyan is located on the right side of Lingyan reservoir, which is named because of its reddish brown soil. The stone carvings here are all on the wall of the mountain stream, and they can only be seen after walking along the bottom of the stream.
