The east of the main island is close to the Taiwan Strait, and the west is separated from Xiaoxiang island. In the south, it is far away from Wangye mountain. The northern part of the island is adjacent to the waters of Taiwan's Baigou archipelago, with a total length of 3.6 km, a width of 0.8-2.5 km from north to south, a square area of 4.8 square kilometers, a surrounding beach area of 2.57 km, and a total coastline of 17.26 km. The inland hinterland of Dongxiang island is close to mountains on three sides and water on one side, with little undulation of mountains. Most of them are platform, a small number of low hills, obvious monsoon and moderate climate. The annual average temperature is 17-18 ℃. It belongs to the south subtropical marine seasonal climate. There are natural water systems in some mountains on the island, but no natural rivers.

Dongxiang Island borders on the Taiwan Strait in the East and North, faces Xiaoxiang island in the southwest, and faces Wangye mountain in Liushui town in the south. It is about 3.6 km long from east to west and 0.65-2.7 km wide. It covers an area of 4.64 square kilometers. The highest point of the mountain is 134.8 meters above sea level.
