Memorial Tower of Hong Kong's return
The Hong Kong Reunification monument is a monument in Hong Kong. It is located in the Tai Po Waterfront Park, Tai Po District, new territories. It was opened in 1997 to commemorate the handover of sovereignty.
The memorial tower of Hong Kong's return to China is 32.4 meters high. There are inscriptions under the tower to show the significance of the construction. The main idea is to commemorate the villagers who defended Hong Kong during the Anti Japanese war. The location of the tower is said to be the first landing place when Britain took over the new territories.
