XiaoDeng Island

Xiaodeng island is located in Dadeng town (including Dadeng Island, Xiaodeng island and Jiaoyu Island) on the southeast coast of Xiang'an District, Fujian Province. It is one of the closest places to Jinmen in the mainland of China, only about 1600 meters away from Jinmen island.

XiaoDeng Island

Xiaodeng island is located in the southeast coast of Xiang'an Peninsula, Xiamen City, Fujian Province. It is under the jurisdiction of Dadeng street, Xiang'an District (Dadeng Street includes Dadeng Island, Xiaodeng island and Jiaoyu Islands). It is one of the closest places to Jinmen in the mainland of China, only about 1600 meters away from Jinmen island.

Vice President history

Historically, Xiaodeng island was under the jurisdiction of Jinmen County, while Jinmen county was under the jurisdiction of Tong'an County, and Xiaodeng island was also under the jurisdiction of Nan'an county.

In 1971, it was assigned to Tong'an county.

In 2003, Xiang'an District was established, and Xiaodeng island was under the jurisdiction of Xiang'an District of Xiamen city.

Xiaodeng island and Jinmen are separated from each other by the sea, and the sound of chickens and dogs is heard. In 1958, Xiaodeng experienced the baptism of gunfire and was the front of the artillery battle. Now, there are original blockhouses, dark bunkers, trenches and the original site of broadcasting to Taiwan on the ground. There are vertical and horizontal tunnels under the ground. Many heroes appeared in the artillery battle, and the Central Military Commission awarded "hero three" "Island".

The ancient Tong'an culture of Xiaodeng island has a deep accumulation. Qiu Kui, a famous Neo Confucianist, lived in seclusion for a long time. Many cultural relics and historic sites related to him were left on the island, such as Qiju stone, diaoji stone, Yueqiu stone, etc.

Xiaodeng experienced the baptism of gunfire and was the front of the artillery battle. Now Xiaodeng has open blockhouses, dark castles, trenches and radio stations in the original state on the ground

The original site, underground there are crisscross tunnels. In the artillery battle, many heroes appeared in XiaoDeng Island, and Jiaoyu of Dadeng Island was awarded the honorary title of "three heroic islands" by the Central Military Commission.

XiaoDeng Island, with an area of only 0.88 square kilometers, is located at the junction of Xiang'an, Nan'an, Jinjiang and Jinmen, which is the throat of Wuhai. It faces Weitou of Jinjiang City across the sea in the East, Dadeng Island in the west, Jinmen island in the south, Taiwu in the north, and Hongjian mountain in Nan'an City in the north. Since ancient times, the waterway here has been unblocked. Ships going to Quanzhou in the north and Xiamen in the south must go through the waterway, "leading Zhangquan to control Wuhai". The geographical location is very important. The terrain of Xiaodeng island is like a sleeping beauty lying on her back. The beauty's head rests on a green hill, reaching the sea with a calm and serene look.

There is Zhongshan Mountain on Xiaodeng, 36 meters above sea level. In fact, there is no mountain in Pingyan, which is only a platform on the sea.

Main attractions

1. "303" civil defense project: a tunnel running through the whole island of Xiaodeng (ticket: 10 yuan / person): this tunnel starts from the basement of deep water wharf in Qianpu village and ends at the basement of Houshen saddle in Houpu village. It runs through Xiaodeng island from east to west, winding more than 1200 meters, 13-10.5 meters above the ground. It is said to be the longest civil air defense project in Xiamen. The biggest characteristic of this tunnel is that it is warm in winter and cool in summer. The natural coolness in summer makes you "cool without thinking about summer". It's like being in a world without hot summer. This tunnel buried underground for 40 years reproduces the era of hostile struggle and embodies the spirit of the times of Xiaodeng people's wisdom and courage. It is the umbrella of Xiaodeng people at that time.

2. Bamin Tieshu King (no ticket): it has been more than 600 years old. This Tieshu is not only old, but also has the most distinctive feature that it blooms every year. Tieshu blossoms represent good luck, so people in the village regard it as a mascot.

3. Single tree into a forest a banyan tree (no ticket): because the air roots into the soil, played a supporting role, so that the banyan crown to develop, so there is a "single tree into a forest" feeling.

4. Meirenjing of Tang Dynasty, the broadcasting site of the sound of the Strait to Taiwan, the Ming blockhouses and secret fortresses in zhonggushan, the military blockhouses, the artillery battle site of the unknown highland on August 23, 1958, the beach of Yueliangwan, the ancient folk houses in Southern Fujian, the ancient Shiyuan hall, the white building overlooking Nan'an, the Yingling hall, the Mazu temple... 5. Xiaodeng leisure fishing village (admission ticket: 30 yuan): it opened in the end of April 2010. There are some modern recreational facilities, including Jinshawan bathing beach, beauty sea, salt bath, canoeing, water bicycle, Dolphin Bay bathing beach, leisure fishing and so on!

Local specialties

Needless to say, seafood is the first choice for small islands in the sea. All the seafood here comes from the wild sea. In addition, tonganfeng meat here is also delicious.

There are also two kinds of vegetables that grow in water. One is the sea rice noodles which are rare in the mainland and have been used by many famous chefs. The cottage wing cup stewed with it by the masters of the island's "leisure fishing village" is unique. The other is the Porphyra of XiaoDeng Island, which has always been favored by gourmets because of its delicious taste.

Deep fried oysters

Go to Xiaodeng island to relax at the weekend. Xiaodeng island seems to be an ordinary Island, but it contains a lot of seafood, among which oysters and laver are the most famous. Generally speaking, oysters only have five gills. Xiaodeng island has a special variety of oysters. Although they are small, they have one more gill than those in other sea areas. Therefore, Xiaodeng island's "six ear Pearl Oyster" is very delicious. The sea water near Xiaodeng island is pollution-free, and the seafood produced is pure natural green food with delicious taste, which has always been favored by gourmands. There are many small seafood restaurants and family workshops on the island. We went to the seafood restaurant. The raw materials were all the freshest wild seafood caught in the coastal waters. Although we didn't pay much attention to cooking, the original fresh and sweet food was not found in other places. Seafood is fresh. The special oyster fried in Xiaodeng island is especially recommended. It is made of "six ear Pearl Oyster" which is the best oyster. Then, add garlic, Korean cabbage, shredded carrot and sweet potato powder, stir them evenly, deep fry them in oil pan until golden, and serve them with sweet chili sauce. Deep fried oysters are crisp outside and tender inside, crispy and delicious.

Braised shrimp with mustard

The old neighbor's private restaurant is a restaurant that specializes in Mindong specialty, but some seafood dishes are also very special, including shrimp with mustard. Many restaurants have braised prawns, but the combination of braised prawns and mustard is very creative. Grill the fresh prawns and mix with mustard oil. In addition to the delicious taste of traditional roasted shrimp, this dish also has the spicy taste of mustard, which slightly stimulates your taste buds. Take Xiamen 756 bus and Xiamen 760 bus to Dadeng bus station, walk about 300 meters to Dadeng wharf, and then take the boat to Xiaodeng.

Program shooting

Another large-scale reality show "come on, fishing baby" of Hunan TV station ended its five-day shooting work in Xiaodeng leisure fishing village. According to reports, during the nearly five-day trip, the film crew walked into various scenic spots of XiaoDeng Island, not only feeling the unique folk customs of XiaoDeng Island, but also carrying out a series of experience activities. After post production, the program will be broadcast on Hunan TV station "Happy Fishing" channel in July 2014.
