LiuYun Temple

Liuyun temple was first built in the fourth year of Liang Tianjian (AD 505) and was initially named "Baihe Nanxiang Temple". It reached its peak in the Tang Dynasty, and the temple base expanded to 180 mu.

Liuyun temple was named Nanxiang temple during the Song Dynasty. In 1700 ad, Emperor Kangxi granted "Yunxiang Temple", so it was renamed Yunxiang temple.

The origin of temples

Liuyun temple was destroyed by natural and man-made disasters. There is only one pair of twin towers that can witness the history, and the Tang Shijing tower and song Pu tower scattered in Guyi garden. If the Yunxiang temple in history was once famous in the south of the Yangtze River, then the restored Yunxiang temple is famous in Shanghai and overseas for its brand-new appearance. The Jialan hall, dashizhi hall, bell tower, Drum Tower, Manjusri hall, Puxian hall, shanghakka hall and sengliao are symmetrically arranged on the left and right sides, surrounded by complete corridors.
