Longcheng Park

Longcheng park is a mountain green space in Longgang central city, covering an area of about 1.89 square kilometers. At present, there are two sections of roads in the park, namely, the climbing steps and the greenway (including the fire passage), with a total length of 4.1 km.

The greenway and environment of Longcheng park take the current mountain as the background, adhere to the principle of ecological priority, fully respect the existing resources in the park, on the basis of protecting the existing ecological environment, highlight the characteristics of localization, multi-layer and easy management, connect the whole ecological block in the form of Greenway and greenway, and form a complete landscape system and ecological network pattern.

Introduction to the park

The landform of Longcheng park is hilly and mountainous, which is characterized by two approximately parallel main ridge lines and their branches, forming 11 large and small valleys. The main peak is 143.5 meters above sea level, and the climbing path is about 14 km long. There are 13 pavilions, including Tingxi Pavilion, octagonal pavilion, Range Rover Pavilion, Qingfeng Pavilion, Wuting Pavilion, Dayun Pavilion, Yunying Pavilion, Huayu Pavilion, Dongmen second-class Lake viewing platform, douyunfeng corridor, Dongmen peak sightseeing Pavilion, caiqingyuan corridor and Fengyu corridor.

The overall layout of Longcheng park is: peaks and valleys, which come down in one continuous line. According to the topographical features of the park, the three theme ecological valleys "art Valley, Bibo Valley and Yulin Valley" are arranged in the form of Pinzi, and developed into a place for diversified leisure activities. More than ten peaks of different sizes outline the undulating ridge line for the city skyline, forming a "dragon vein", providing a perfect place for tourists to climb and overlook and absorb the aura of heaven and earth.

Longcheng park is located in the central city of Longgang District, adjacent to Qinglin middle road in the north, Longxiang Avenue and Ruyi road in the south, New Asia Garden on Jixiang middle road in the East and Huangge middle road in the West.

The main plants in the garden are autumn maple from Southeast Asia and Oceania, sycamore from India and Malaysia, Rhododendron pubescens from China, and Bodhi tree from India only in Beimen.

Development and construction

In the overall planning and design of "water around the mountain" proposed by Longgang District, Longcheng Park, as a key node in the green corridor system of the big central city, will highlight the characteristics and functions of fashion, innovation corridor and characteristic corridor of urban landscape in Longgang District. In the planning of Longgang District Urban Management Bureau, the greenway improvement and environmental improvement project of Longcheng park has entered the stage of preparing construction drawings, and a new 8.6km greenway will be built at the end of 2016.
