Emperor Shunzhi bestowed the title of "Hualin Chan Temple"; his disciple, Chan Master Yuanjue, left the magic sea. After ten years of construction, a large-scale ten square jungle sprang up in Xiguan. Historical evolution

At the beginning of Shunzhi, the 32nd master of linjizong, Gu jingzongfu, traveled from Zhangzhou, Fujian Province to Guangzhou to visit Xilai nunnery. When he visited Xilai nunnery, he tried his best to retain the nunnery leader, Da CI Su Duan (1602-1664), and asked him to shoulder the heavy responsibility of Guangzu court. In the 17th year of Shunzhi (1660), Emperor Shunzhi bestowed another 22 Buddhist relics to Hualin temple. Forty years later, Emperor Kangxi ordered Hualin temple to build a special hall and pagoda for the worship of 22 Buddhist relics. In the seventh lunar month of the 40th year of Kangxi (1701), Hualin Temple held a grand ceremony for the worship of the hall and the Buddhist relics.
