Yelang Culture

Dongxi was a "Yelang ancient country" in the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period. The subjects of "Yelang ancient country" were mostly Dongding, Dongman and Dongliao. There are mountain cave and water cave. In addition to a few caves, Shandong houses are mostly built in wooden buildings with suspended feet, flying eaves and pavilions, carved dragons and phoenixes. The traditional wooden buildings with hanging feet preserved in Dongxi and the Han tombs of seven Confucius cliff are the witness and miniature of "Yelang ancient country". Nowadays, there are still mountain people who can sing Yelang folk songs in Dongxi.
