Jiulong Town

Jiulong Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Qinnan District, Qinzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the northeast of Qinzhou City, 19 kilometers away from the city. It is adjacent to Napeng town in the East, Dadong town in the west, Shabu town in the South and Pingji town in the north. The total administrative area is 222.9 square kilometers.

In 532, the fourth year of Datong in the Southern Dynasty, Anzhou was set up to govern the northwest of shangdongba, Jiulong Town, Qinnan District. In October 1966, Jiulong commune was set up in Qinzhou county. In September 1984, Jiulong commune was changed into Jiulong Township, Qinzhou City. In October 1993, Jiulong township was changed into Jiulong Town. In October 1994, Jiulong Town was transferred to Qinnan District of Qinzhou City. By the end of 2018, the population of Jiulong Town was 47215. As of June 2020, Jiulong Town has one community and 17 administrative villages.

In 2018, Jiulong Town completed 12.073 million yuan of fiscal revenue, including 11.55 million yuan of tax revenue, 457300 yuan of fiscal revenue, 565 million yuan of fixed asset investment and 890 million yuan of investment.

History of construction

In 532, the fourth year of Datong in the Southern Dynasty, Anzhou was set up to govern the northwest of shangdongba, Jiulong Town, Qinnan District. At the same time, it has jurisdiction over Anjing and Songguang counties.

In 597, Anzhou was changed to Qinzhou, which was named after Qinshun. In the same year, Anjing county was replaced by Anjing County, Songguang county was Xinhua County, and Songshou county was Qinjiang county. The next year, the county was transformed into Neiting county. Sui kaihuang 20 years (600 years), Qinzhou additional jurisdiction Zunhua county. At the beginning of the Sui Dynasty, Qinzhou was abandoned and replaced by ningyue County, leading Qinjiang, Anjing, Neiting, Nanbin, Zunhua, Hai'an and other counties.

In the fourth year of Wude (621), ningyue county was abolished and Qinzhou was restored. The county was still in charge. In 636, Nanbin county was renamed Lingshan County. In the first year of Tang Tianbao (742), Qinzhou was changed to ningyue County, and its subordinate county was changed to Li. In 757, Anjing county was renamed Baojing County, and Anhai county was renamed Ninghai County. In the first year of Qianyuan (758) of Tang Dynasty, ningyue county was changed into Qinzhou, and its subordinate county was changed into a subordinate county.

During the Five Dynasties period, it still belonged to the Southern Han Dynasty.

In the fifth year of Kaibao of Song Dynasty (977), Qinzhou abolished Zunhua, Neiting and Qinjiang counties, merged them into Lingshan County, and moved them to Lingshan County. Since then, the town has successively belonged to Lingshan County, Qinjiang County, Qinzhou county and Qinxian county.

During the period of the Republic of China, there were two townships, Jiulong and Xinxu, belonging to Qin county.

In the spring of 1951, six small townships were set up.

In June 1961, Jiulong and Xinwei communes were established.

In the spring of 1963, it was incorporated into Pingji commune and belonged to Tongzu Autonomous County of Qinzhou.

In October 1966, Jiulong commune was set up in Qinzhou county.

In September 1984, Jiulong commune was changed into Jiulong Township, Qinzhou City.

In October 1993, Jiulong township was changed into Jiulong Town.

In October 1994, Jiulong Town was transferred to Qinnan District of Qinzhou City.
