Xinjie town

Xinjie town is located in the southeast of Dongtai City, Jiangsu Province. It is adjacent to the rich Yellow Sea beach in the East, Haian County and Rudong County in the south, 226 provincial road in the West and Dongtai coastal economic zone in the north. It has mild climate, convenient transportation and information communication. The main rivers are fangtang River, anlao River, kenqu Ganhe River, Xingang Ganhe River and Hongxing River crisscross with rich natural resources. It is located in Jiulian temple, a famous religious tourist attraction and national AA tourist attraction in Central Jiangsu.

On September 24, 2019, Xinjie town (Miao) was selected into the list of the ninth batch of national "one village, one product" demonstration villages and towns.

General situation of villages and towns

Xinjie Town, Dongtai City, Jiangsu Province is located in the southeast of Dongtai City, at the junction of two cities (Yancheng, Nantong) and three counties (Dongtai, Hai'an, Rudong). It is adjacent to zaogang town in the East, laobagang Binhai New Area (jiaoxie town) in Hai'an County in the south, Tangyang and Xuhe towns in the west, and Sancang town in the north, with an area of 102 square kilometers and a population of 45000. Convenient transportation, two hours to Shanghai. One and a half hours to Yancheng, Nantong two airports. One hour to Yangkou Port, Dafeng port, half an hour to Shen Hai expressway, Xinchang railway. Xinjie town has eight characteristic bases of ten thousand mu, such as three leeks, sericulture, gingko, persimmon, etc., which are famous in the north and south of the country. Melons, fruits and vegetables are registered with the trademark of "xiaofanghong". Rich in forestry resources, it has won the honor of "green Jiangsu construction" advanced town in Jiangsu Province.

Meaning of place names

It is said that during the reign of emperor Shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty, Qian Yao of Suzhou and other people surnamed Li Zhenjiang moved here again from salt and fishery. In 1916, people from Nantong moved here to plant cotton, build houses and open shops, named Tongtai town. In 1924, it was renamed Xinzhen with a new appearance. In 1939, it was burned by the Japanese invading army and rebuilt Xinjie, so it is called "Xinjie" until now.

Historical evolution

In the seventh year of Qiandao (1171) of the Southern Song Dynasty, there were additional venues under the prefecture, and Xinjie area belonged to jiaoxiechang; in the 27th year of Zhizheng (1367) of the Yuan Dynasty, Zhang Shicheng's uprising failed, and people from Suzhou and other places took refuge at the seaside of Xinjie; in the ninth year of Qianlong (1744) of the Qing Dynasty, spring tide piers were built in Xinjie. In October 1768, the court approved the construction of Dongtai county. Xinjie belonged to jiaoxiechang and fuanchang of Dongtai county. Dalai company was founded in May 1916. Tongtai Town, namely Xinjie Xiaojie, was built in the ninth year of the Republic of China. In 1955, primary community was established in dongxinjie area. On February 25th, 1955, the county people's Committee announced the adjustment of zoning and abolished the salt reclamation area. Xinjie belonged to Tangyang district. On August 27, 1957, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, and Xinjie township was established. In 1958, Tangyang people's commune was abolished in Daxiang of dongxinjie, and in April 1959, Xinjie people's commune was established. In February 1984, the construction of the township was withdrawn from the society, and in July 1987, the construction of the town was withdrawn with the approval of the provincial people's government.

Industry

There are four industrial groups in Xinjie, which are ship life-saving equipment, silk making, textile machine accessories and twisting fishing net weaving. It has more than 50 enterprises in ship life-saving equipment industry, and produces more than 150 series products with 15ppm bilge water separator, marine sewage treatment device, oil-water separator, air respirator as the leading products. Dongfang company and Jianghai company have passed EC certification. More than 80% of Siyuan cocoon and silk are 5A grade white silk. The pyrotechnic signal factory and Haimen Huahai company have successfully restructured their assets, realizing the breakthrough of pyrotechnic signal from ship only to road use. Marine equipment industry won the Yancheng high quality product production demonstration zone. Dongfang company won the title of "key high-tech enterprise", was recommended as the undertaking unit of intellectual property strategic project by provincial science and Technology Department, and the oil-water separator was listed in the national Spark plan.

Travel

It is located in Jiulian temple, a famous AA grade religious tourist attraction in central and Northern Jiangsu. It has 123 big and small jade Buddhas, the largest reclining Buddha in central and Northern Jiangsu. It is the most valuable tourist attraction in the coastal economic tourist resort. It is surrounded by dike and water. The environment is quiet and quiet. The Buddhist tradition is far away. The incense is strong all the year round, and tourists come in an endless stream. The temple has a simple and elegant archway, main hall, thousand hands Guanyin hall, lecture hall, Jingxin building, Mingxin building and so on. There are 123 jade Buddhas in the temple. In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name Xinjie town as a national health Township in the period of 2017-2019.
