Zhongli town

Zhongli Town, Yucheng District, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, is a town under the jurisdiction of Ya'an City. Located in the north of the city, 15.5km away from the urban area. It covers an area of 37.45 square kilometers and has a population of 12913 (2017). Ya (an) Shang (LI) highway transit. In 1958, it was named "national advanced agricultural unit" by the State Council.

Historical evolution

Zhongli township was established in 1951, changed into a commune in 1958, and resumed in 1983. The town was built in 1989.

It has jurisdiction over 7 village committees and Zhongli neighborhood committees, including Longquan, Fuxing, Jianqiang, zhengwan, Jianxin, Zhanggou and Zhongli.

Economics

Township enterprises have mirabilite mining, building materials, tea, etc. Agricultural production of rice, wheat, corn, rapeseed, and tea. Mirabilite is rich in reserves.
