Longyan township is located at the West foot of Jiuwan mountain, in the north of Huanjiang Maonan Autonomous County. The township government is 97 kilometers away from Huanjiang County. It borders Rongshui County in the East, Dongxing and Minglun towns in the south, Xunle Township in the west, Xiutang Township and Jiabang Township in Congjiang County in Guizhou Province in the north.
