Mentougou Dahanling pass city

Dahanling pass city is located on Dahanling, 1.5km to the east of Lujia village, Zhaitang town, Mentougou District. It is one of the important passes of Jingxi ancient road. It was built in the Ming Dynasty. Guancheng faces east and is built with green bricks and stone. The ancient road passes under chengtaiquan cave. In the east of Chengtai, there is a gentle hillside. There are several ancient pines. There is the ruins of Pilu temple. The temple has three storeys. It was built in the Ming Dynasty, during the reign of Emperor Kangxi and during the 50th anniversary of Emperor Qianlong. It was rebuilt and named Guanyin Bodhisattva temple. In the fourth year of Daoguang's reign, it was rebuilt and called the Pilu temple in Dahanling. Wenchang Pavilion, kiln temple and tea shed were added. The ancient well in front of the temple can still draw water.
