Chizhou university is a provincial undergraduate college, located in China's first ecological economy demonstration area, China Agenda 21 pilot area and Chizhou City, Anhui Province, which is known as "poet land for thousands of years". The college, formerly known as Chizhou normal college, was founded in 1977 and upgraded to Chizhou College with the approval of the Ministry of education in January 2007. The planning area of the campus is 1868 mu, the total planning building area of the school is about 540000 square meters, and the new building area is about 240000 square meters for teaching, administration and living services. The library has 712600 paper books, 280000 e-books and more than 1500 kinds of periodicals.
