Xingzhi College of Zhejiang Normal University is a comprehensive full-time undergraduate independent college approved by the provincial government in August 1999 and confirmed by the Ministry of education in November 2004. In 2010, it was awarded the title of "national advanced independent college". In 2013, it ranked No.9 in the national independent college, ranked No.7 in the national high-level independent college, and was rated as one of the top 50 universities in the national campus environment satisfaction.

The college is located in the West Campus of Zhejiang Normal University, Jinhua City, a national historical and cultural city, in the middle of Zhejiang Province, with Shanghai and Hangzhou in the north and Fujian and Guangdong in the south. The campus environment is quiet, with green trees and beautiful grass. It complements Shuanglong cave, a national scenic spot. It is an ideal place to seek knowledge and become talents.

At present, the college has six branches of business, law, literature, art and sports, science and engineering, involving nine disciplines, including economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, management and art, 39 majors, and three disciplines of regional economics, chemistry and biology. The college cooperates with Zhejiang Normal University to train postgraduates. The college has a teaching staff with high professional title, high education background, high quality and rich teaching experience. There are more than 470 full-time and part-time teachers and more than 8000 students.

Relying on the maternal advantages and regional advantages, the college adheres to the school running philosophy of "seeking knowledge by doing and applying learning", and strives to build a highly adaptive, flexible and open talent training system with interdisciplinary professional knowledge, integration of theoretical teaching and industry application, combination of independent learning and team cooperation, and integration of knowledge, ability and accomplishment. At present, there are more than 410 teaching research and construction projects at all levels, including 23 higher education quality projects in Zhejiang Province. There are 5 key construction disciplines and 8 brand specialties, among which applied chemistry is the provincial key construction specialty. The college actively promotes the construction of applied courses, with more than 240 key applied courses (groups), of which advanced mathematics and production and operation management are provincial-level excellent courses, and five teaching materials are provincial-level key construction teaching materials. At present, there are 21 key construction teaching laboratories (experimental teaching center) at the hospital level, of which 5 are provincial qualified teaching laboratories (experimental teaching center).

The college is committed to cultivating high-quality undergraduate application-oriented talents with solid foundation, high quality, fine skills, strong ability and good innovation. Integrating the advantages of the discipline, we set up a comprehensive class of five majors, including international economy and trade, law, Chinese language and literature, English, and tourism management. We have engaged more than 200 part-time practical teaching professors, established cooperative relations with more than 180 enterprises and institutions, and set up more than 20 characteristic classes for talent cultivation. Actively promote open education, strengthen international exchanges, and now with the United States, Japan, South Korea, Ukraine and more than 20 colleges and universities to establish exchange students or joint cooperative relations, the use of international quality teaching resources to cultivate students. In recent years, our students have won the first prize of the second national college students' electronic design competition, the first prize of the second national structural design competition, the first prize of gsvc global social enterprise Entrepreneurship Competition 2010 China finals, the first group prize of the first national college students' creative entrepreneurship competition, the Aijing award 2013 international landscape planning and Design Competition Gold Award and other provincial or above awards, totaling more than 420 person times. There are ten outstanding young people in Zhejiang Province, representatives of the 15th National Congress of the Communist Youth League and other outstanding students, as well as post-80s and post-90s writers.

In the past five years, the college has undertaken more than 760 scientific research projects at all levels, including 82 provincial and ministerial level and 51 national level; published 49 monographs and textbooks; published more than 2780 academic papers, including 6 authoritative papers, 77 included in SCI and 101 first-class papers.
