Railway Police College

The railway police college is the only college directly under the Ministry of public security in China to train railway police professionals. It was founded in Beijing in 1950, formerly known as the Ministry of Railway Police cadre school. The college has been running schools in Shenyang, Shanghai, Xi'an and Tangshan successively. In 1980, it was relocated to Zhengzhou, Henan Province and renamed Zhengzhou people's police Cadre School of the Ministry of railways. Later, it was renamed Zhengzhou people's Police School of the Ministry of Railways and Zhengzhou public security management cadre college of the Ministry of railways. In 2000, it was transferred from the Ministry of Railways to the Ministry of public security and transformed into a railway police academy. In 2013, it changed its name to Railway Police College and began to hold full-time general undergraduate education.

Since its establishment, the college has trained more than 30000 graduates and nearly 20000 on-the-job police for railway public security organs. At present, more than one-third of the country's 70000 railway police are graduates of our school, most of whom have grown into leading cadres and business backbones at all levels of railway public security organs. More than 20 people have been awarded the honorary title of first or second class model of the national public security system. More than 150 people have been rated as "national excellent people's police" or won the "May 1" labor medal. More than 10000 people have been awarded meritorious service, and a number of talents have emerged Li Boya, the most beautiful student policeman of the post-90s generation, Lei Hong, Ouyang Hai style good policeman, Shen zhandong, the first-class model, and other alumni groups have made outstanding contributions to public security work and economic and social development, and are known as the "cradle of railway guards".

With a total construction area of 157100 square meters, the college has 47 basic laboratories, public security laboratories and training venues, with a total value of 81.304 million yuan of teaching and scientific research equipment. The library has 623000 paper books and 680000 e-books, and has a modern e-book system and automatic book management system; The "iron police training base of the Ministry of public security" has been established, and 28 practice teaching bases have been established in public security organs throughout the country.

There are five undergraduate majors in public security, investigation, public security management, criminal science and technology, network security and law enforcement, four undergraduate majors in public security (public security legal system), public security (Railway Police direction), public security management (Public Security Secretary) and investigation (railway anti-terrorism direction), and four undergraduate majors in investigation, public security management, criminal technology, police management, information network security supervision and economic crime There are 7 specialties of investigation and security. It has one key specialty (cultivation point) of national public security higher education, two characteristic specialty construction points of Henan Province, two comprehensive reform pilot specialties of Henan Province, one education and teaching reform pilot specialty of Henan Province, and two central financial support development specialties.

The college has nine departments, including investigation department, public security department, public security management department, public security technology department, law department, public basic teaching and research department, railway and public security basic teaching and research department, political theory teaching and research department, police sports and tactical training teaching and research department. The college enrolls students from all over the country (except Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao), with 3737 students.

The college has 398 faculty members, including 22 doctors, 162 masters, 34 professors and 86 associate professors, 5 experts enjoying ministerial subsidies, 17 provincial and ministerial teaching masters, excellent teachers and teaching pacesetters, 11 academic and technical leaders in Henan Province, 3 teachers with the honorary title of second class British model, and a number of professional teachers who play an important leading role in the actual combat of railway public security It has an excellent teaching and academic team composed of special instructors of the Ministry of public security's "sending teachers to the west", judges of national railway public security skills assessment, forensic experts, etc.

In the past five years, he has published more than 160 books and textbooks (including 8 provincial and national planning textbooks), presided over and completed more than 60 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, published more than 300 Chinese core journals and CSSCI and SCI papers, and won 2 provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards. A number of research results have played an important role in the actual combat of public security. Based on the railway, facing the traffic, serving the public security, relying on the practical teaching platform of the school, railway public security organs, local public security organs, etc., the college organizes teachers and students to actively participate in the security work of railway transportation and domestic large-scale security activities such as Beijing Olympic Games, Shanghai World Expo, Nanjing Youth Olympic Games, Shenzhen Universiade, Beijing 9.3 military parade, track and field world championships, Zhengzhou Shanghe conference security, etc The public security colleges and universities should perform the functions and responsibilities of serving the public security work and the society.
