Beijing Jingbei vocational and Technical College

Beijing Jingbei vocational and technical college is an independent full-time higher vocational and technical college approved by Beijing Municipal People's government and registered by the Ministry of education. Its predecessor was Huairou branch of Beijing Institute of architectural engineering, which was established in 1984. In 2002, with the approval of Beijing Municipal People's government, it was renamed Beijing Jingbei vocational and technical college, becoming the first independent higher vocational college in Beijing suburbs.

The college is located in Huairou city with beautiful scenery, fresh air and the reputation of "ecological blessed land, pearl of Beijing suburb, China Film City and international conference capital". With beautiful surrounding environment, convenient transportation and gathering of scenic spots, it is an ideal place for study and life. The college covers an area of 186 mu, with a building area of 62159 square meters. It has 2100 full-time students and more than 1700 adult education students. It has a high-quality, professional and reasonable structure of teachers, 123 full-time teachers, 78% of whom are double qualified teachers, 68% of whom have master's degree or above, and 31% of whom have senior professional titles.

After 30 years of higher education, the college now has four departments and three centers: Department of architectural engineering, Department of mechanical and electrical engineering, Department of management engineering, Department of sports, art and health, training center, adult education center and logistics service center. There are 15 specialties in eight categories: architecture, automobile, economy, electronics, tourism, film and television, preschool education and nursing. Among them, the major of construction engineering technology and tourism management is the key specialty in Beijing; the training base of construction engineering technology, construction equipment engineering technology and automobile manufacturing and assembly technology is the training base supported by the central finance. At present, our college has 36 on campus training rooms, 59 off campus training bases and 10 types of professional qualification appraisal. It has developed into a higher vocational and technical college characterized by the Department of architecture and supported by the Department of mechanical and electrical engineering, the Department of management and the Department of sports, art and health.
