Mudanjiang Medical College was founded in 1958. Mr. Guo Moruo, a famous historian, inscribed its name. It is the only provincial full-time undergraduate medical college in the southeast of Heilongjiang Province. In 1997, it passed the qualification assessment of the former State Education Commission. In 2006, the expert group gave excellent evaluation in the national undergraduate teaching level evaluation. In 2009, it was approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council as a new construction unit of master's degree. In 2013, it passed the overall acceptance of the construction unit of the master's degree project.

At present, the college has 2600 teaching staff, with more than 600 deputy senior titles. There are more than 580 full-time teachers, 88 of whom have doctor's degree (including 7 returned doctors) and 550 of whom have master's degree. The college recruits undergraduates from 25 provinces (cities) and autonomous regions in China, and has 10114 full-time school-based and junior college students. It offers 17 undergraduate programs in clinical medicine, medical imaging, anesthesiology, medical laboratory, nursing, rehabilitation therapy, Stomatology, pharmacy, pharmaceutical engineering, pharmaceutical preparations, preventive medicine, information management and information system, public utilities management, applied psychology, marketing, medical imaging technology, and biomedical engineering. Among them, stomatology is listed as the first table of undergraduate enrollment, medical imaging, clinical medicine, anesthesiology and medical laboratory are the key majors at the provincial level, and medical imaging is the first class characteristic specialty at the provincial level and the first class characteristic construction specialty at the national level. Human anatomy, histology and embryology, biogenetics, pathogenic biology, imaging equipment and diagnostics are provincial excellent courses.

Basic medicine, biology and pharmacy, and internal medicine, imaging medicine and nuclear medicine, and surgery were selected as provincial key disciplines. "Anti fibrosis biotherapy" laboratory is the Key Laboratory of Heilongjiang Province, "anesthesia and critical care" laboratory is the Key Laboratory of Heilongjiang Province in collaboration with Harbin Medical University, "tissue injury and repair" laboratory The "tumor disease prevention and treatment" laboratory is the key laboratory in Heilongjiang Province. Human anatomy and histoembryology, pathology and pathophysiology, physiology, biochemistry and molecular biology, internal medicine, imaging medicine and nuclear medicine, pharmacology and other disciplines began to cultivate 519 postgraduates with Jiamusi University and Heilongjiang University of traditional Chinese medicine in 1997, and 223 of them have obtained master's degree.

Since 2007, our teachers have participated in the compilation of 95 national planning textbooks, including 9 as chief editor and 16 as deputy chief editor. It has undertaken 29 national level scientific research projects, 55 provincial and ministerial level scientific research projects, and 417 department and bureau level projects. It has won 25 provincial and ministerial level awards for scientific research achievements. In 2009, it won the second prize of national technological invention. The university has established exchanges and cooperation with Vladivostok National Medical University of Russia, Fatima University of the Philippines, Seoul University Medical School of Korea, Incheon Medical University of Korea and other foreign universities.
