Shandong Youth College for political science is a public undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of education in 2010. It is based on the Youth League School of Shandong Province, which was founded in 1949 and has a history of 68 years.  

The school pays attention to the political advantages and school running characteristics of youth colleges, adheres to the school running concept of moral education first and comprehensive quality training, constantly strengthens the construction of Party and League organizations, adheres to the school motto of "having both ability and political integrity and constantly striving for self-improvement", and strives to create an educational environment of teaching, management and service, thus forming a good school spirit of "vigor and vitality, seeking truth from facts".  

The school is located in the center of Jinan high-tech industrial belt, with beautiful scenery and beautiful environment. The school covers an area of 1040 mu, with a total construction area of 266000 square meters. The total value of fixed assets is 740 million yuan, including 69.84 million yuan of teaching and scientific research equipment. It has 86 experimental and training rooms, 3024 teaching microcomputers, 826 seats in speech laboratory and 6878 seats in Multimedia Classroom. The library has 1.35 million paper books and 1.39 million e-books. Highly integrated digital campus network system provides a new platform for teaching and research, and advanced teaching equipment provides students with good learning conditions.  

The school insists on taking teaching as the center, focusing on improving teaching quality, and implements the "double name project" with the main contents of training famous teachers and establishing famous majors. The school has a high-level teaching staff with reasonable structure, rigorous scholarship and suitable for the development of the school. At present, there are 607 full-time and part-time teachers. There are 2 provincial teaching teams, including 19 national "ten thousand talents plan" teaching masters, experts enjoying government subsidies from the State Council, provincial teaching masters, provincial key discipline chief experts, national and provincial excellent teachers, and 45 people hold academic positions above director level in provincial societies. It has 1 national teaching reform pilot specialty, 1 national education and training base, 3 provincial key disciplines, 1 provincial key laboratory, 1 provincial humanities and social sciences research base, 1 provincial experimental teaching demonstration center and 1 provincial Talent Training Mode Innovation Experimental Zone, 3 high-level application-oriented construction specialty (Group) in Shandong Province, and 10 provincial demonstration specialty and characteristic brand specialty There are 36 national, provincial and ministerial excellent courses.  

At present, the school has 9 secondary colleges and 38 undergraduate and junior college majors, covering six disciplines of economics, law, literature, engineering, management and art. At present, there are more than 13000 full-time undergraduate and junior college students.  

Due to its outstanding achievements in running a school for many years, the university has been rated as an excellent grade in all previous comprehensive evaluations, such as the Employment Evaluation of college graduates in the whole province. It has been successively rated as "the national advanced unit of art education in schools" and "the national advanced collective of college enrollment" by the Ministry of education, and has won many honorary titles in Shandong Province. In November 2009, he was awarded the second class collective merit by Shandong Provincial People's government.
