Tianjin University of science and technology

Tianjin University of science and technology is a public full-time ordinary university jointly built by the central and local governments and mainly managed by Tianjin. It is a multi-disciplinary university focusing on engineering, with coordinated development of engineering, science, arts, agriculture, medicine, economics, management, law, arts and other disciplines. Founded in 1958, Tianjin Institute of light industry, formerly affiliated to the central government, changed its name to Tianjin University of science and technology in 2002. It has the right to confer bachelor's, master's and doctor's degrees. It is a contracted university to train national defense students for the army. In 2008, the University obtained the excellent grade of undergraduate teaching evaluation of the Ministry of education.

The school has more than 27000 full-time undergraduate, master and doctoral students.
