Peking Union Medical College

Peking Union Medical College was founded by Rockefeller Foundation in 1917. It was the first to open the eight-year clinical medical education and higher nursing education in China. It has a special status and unique social influence in the field of medical education in China. As the only university directly under the Ministry of health, the Union Medical College and the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences) implement the management system of integration of colleges and universities.

The elite training mode of "advanced, excellent and strict" in Xiehe Medical College has not only brought up Zhang Xiaoqian, Lin Qiaozhi, Huang Jiasi, Wu Jieping, Nie Yuchan and other Chinese medical leaders, but also cultivated a large number of famous clinical physicians, medical scientists, medical educators, nursing scientists and medical administrators at home and abroad We have a good reputation.

According to the agreement on close cooperation between Tsinghua University and our University signed by the Ministry of education and the Ministry of health, and the implementation opinions of the two universities on implementing the two agreements, Peking Union Medical College has entered the "211" and "985" project construction projects. At present, the school has six colleges, including basic college, clinical college, nursing college, public health college, Graduate School and continuing education college. It has built a multi-level medical education system composed of postdoctoral, doctoral, master's, undergraduate, junior college education and adult education. The school has 3986 full-time students, including 2838 graduate students, 909 undergraduate students and 239 junior college students.
