City College of Hebei University of technology was established in 2001 with the approval of Hebei Provincial People's government. It was re examined and confirmed by the Ministry of education in 2004. It has campuses in Tianjin and Langfang respectively. p>

Founded in 1903, Hebei University of technology, the parent school of city college, is one of the oldest engineering universities in China. There are 13 colleges, 3 schools of teaching management and 3 teaching departments (centers). It has 2 national key disciplines, 4 provincial strong characteristic disciplines, 15 provincial key disciplines, 61 undergraduate majors, 13 specialist majors, 3 first-class discipline doctoral programs, 17 doctoral programs, 10 first-class discipline master programs, 56 master programs and 15 engineering master professional degree authorization fields, 17 University Teachers In-Service Master degree programs, and master of Business Administration (MBA) ）The right to confer professional degrees. The school has a strong faculty. At present, there are more than 2300 teaching staff, including 1302 full-time teachers, 618 teachers with Deputy vocational titles or above, 306 teachers with doctor's degree and 541 teachers with master's degree. City College now covers an area of more than 900 mu, with a building area of more than 200000 square meters. The college has a library, computer room, multimedia classroom, voice room, laboratory, engineering training center and other advanced teaching facilities, with standard track and field, football field, basketball court, tennis court and other sports venues. At the same time, city college and Hebei University of technology teaching resources sharing, and has realized the campus network.

City College has been recruiting students since 2001. Now it has 14 departments (including Langfang Branch) and a teaching department (Sports Department). It has 49 undergraduate majors, covering six disciplines of engineering, science, economics, management, arts and law. At present, there are 12995 undergraduates. To meet the needs of reform and opening up, city college has established close cooperation with many universities in the world. For example, if students majoring in computer science are jointly trained with the Paris Institute of computer science and engineering, the freshmen of science and engineering will voluntarily sign up for the English test, and the qualified students can enter the Sino French class. The students will study in China for four years, and will be taught by the teachers of both China and France. After graduation, they can obtain the graduation certificates of the two schools. After passing the examination, the graduates can study in France for one year and obtain the master's degree of European Union and the certificate of French engineer.
