Jiaying College is a provincial undergraduate college with a history of 94 years. The college is located in Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, a famous historical and cultural city in China, a Hakka settlement, and a famous hometown of culture, overseas Chinese and football. Meizhou was called Jiaying Prefecture in the Qing Dynasty, from which Jiaying College got its name.

The campus of Jiaying College covers an area of 1041 mu, with a building area of 370000 square meters. With a total value of 74.4094 million yuan, the college has 22 laboratories with advanced equipment, 1.257 million books in the library and more than 1500 Chinese and foreign periodicals. The college has 665 full-time teachers, including 47 professors, 170 associate professors, 257 lecturers, 21 teachers with doctoral degrees, 250 teachers with master's degrees, and 149 teachers studying for doctoral and master's degrees. At the same time, 14 foreign teachers and a large number of famous scholars at home and abroad are employed as part-time professors, visiting professors or honorary professors. Since its establishment, it has been strongly supported by compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese. Every year, experts and professors from famous universities come to the University as visiting scholars to study Hakka culture and give lectures.
