Ningbo Institute of Technology

Ningbo Institute of technology is a full-time university approved by the Ministry of education. After 25 years of construction and development, it has become an engineering oriented university with coordinated development of management, economy, literature, science and other disciplines. It has trained high-tech and modern management knowledge application development senior technical personnel. The college has been awarded the titles of civilized unit in Zhejiang Province, safe campus in Zhejiang Province and civilized unit in Ningbo City.

The college is located in the center of Ningbo, covering an area of 850 mu, with a building area of 289000 square meters. At present, the government has invested 1.4 billion yuan, covering an area of 1370 mu, and the new campus is under construction according to the concept of "science and technology, humanities and ecology". The first phase of the project with a building area of 130000 square meters was put into use in September 2007.

Guided by social needs, the college optimizes the specialty setting and vigorously cultivates advantageous and characteristic disciplines. It now has 11 branches, including architectural engineering, electronic and information engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, transportation, economy and management, humanities, foreign languages, international exchange, science and adult education, 24 undergraduate majors, 24 specialty, 1 provincial key discipline and 1 provincial key specialty There are 3 municipal key disciplines and 4 municipal key majors. There are 797 faculty members, including 53 professors, 122 teachers with deputy senior titles, 52 doctors and 194 masters. The college is rich in teaching facilities and advanced equipment. It has one provincial demonstration basic laboratory and six municipal key laboratories, with a total value of 89.6 million yuan of teaching and research equipment and 1.05 million books. There are 61 teaching laboratories and research and training centers. The school is equipped with sufficient multimedia teaching equipment, and equipped with a number of electronic reading rooms and sci-tech periodicals mirror station.

The college takes discipline construction as the leader, strengthens the construction of scientific research base and team, vigorously carries out applied scientific research and technology development, and enhances the ability to serve the local economy. In 2007, it undertook 119 scientific research projects at or above the municipal level, including 2 at the national level, 15 at the provincial level, 3 at the Zhejiang Provincial Science and technology award, 4 at the Municipal Science and technology progress award, published 261 academic works, and obtained 5 patents. In 2007, the scientific Research Fund reached more than 32.18 million yuan. The college has also undertaken the construction of two talent training bases of petrochemical industry and port logistics in Ningbo, and has become an important base for regional application-oriented talent training. In 1984, the school cooperated with Aachen University of Applied Sciences in Germany, and established cooperative relations with 20 universities in Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom and other countries to carry out inter school visits, cooperative research and exchange of students.

The school takes the application and development of advanced technical personnel as the training goal, adheres to the education concept of "education oriented" and "moral education first", constructs a high-quality, high-level and high-quality campus culture in an all-round and multi-level way, and strives to shape the school running concept of "unity of knowledge and Practice", so as to comprehensively improve the comprehensive quality of students and promote the all-round development of college students. The university has strengthened the construction of study style, implemented the "321 teaching quality project", established the excellent student training system, and encouraged students to innovate and practice. In the past four years, our students have participated in the national and Zhejiang province undergraduate mathematical modeling competition, structural design competition and other discipline competitions, with a total of more than 100 awards. Every year, more than 50 student innovation projects have been funded by provincial and municipal level projects. Our graduates are well received by the society for their solid foundation, solid work, rigorous style and strong ability of innovation and entrepreneurship. In recent years, the one-time employment rate of graduates is more than 95%.
