Located in the historic city of Shenyang, China Criminal Police College covers an area of 280000 square meters and a building area of 190000 square meters. It is a public security college directly under the Ministry of public security. Founded in May 1948, the college was formerly the Northeast public security cadre school. Later, it was changed into the Central People's police cadre school, the first people's police Cadre School of the Ministry of public security, and the people's police Cadre School of the Ministry of public security. In November 1981, with the approval of the State Council, it was expanded into China Criminal Police College, and its name was inscribed by Peng Zhen, then chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress. For more than half a century, under the care of the leadership of the Central Committee and the Ministry of public security, the college has worked hard and kept pace with the times. It has gradually established a discipline system with distinctive characteristics, which is in line with China's national conditions and meets the needs of public security work. It has created a mode of combining teaching, scientific research and case handling, and formed a fine school spirit of "loyalty, truth-seeking, unity and progress", which has served the national public security The judiciary has trained a large number of excellent professionals, and the college is known as "the cradle of Oriental Sherlock Holmes". Nowadays, our students are all over the country. Some of them have become experts and backbones in investigation and criminal science and technology, and some of them have taken leading positions in public security organs at all levels. They have made outstanding contributions to maintaining social stability and national public security, cracking down on crimes, and protecting people's lives and property. At present, the college has 5481 students (4387 undergraduates, 224 postgraduates and 1230 adult students); there are more than 670 faculty members, including 6 chief professors, 147 professors and associate professors, 16 experts enjoying special state subsidies and 15 experts enjoying ministerial subsidies. In addition, it also has a group of external instructors with high theoretical attainments and rich practical experience, and has initially formed a teaching team that combines in-service teachers with external instructors and adapts to the characteristics of the law of public security education. Since 1999, it has been recruiting master's degree postgraduates and second bachelor's degree students. The postgraduate education has 6 Master's programs in procedural law, criminal law, analytical chemistry, computer application technology, forensic science and military education and training, and 18 research directions. The second bachelor's degree education has three majors (including five major directions) including investigation, criminal science and technology, and forensic science. According to the needs of public security work and team building, the college carries out adult education and professional training for on-the-job police in various forms and levels. The college is equipped with a modern tactical training system for investigation and seizure, a simulated scene teaching center, a central laboratory for criminal science and technology, a central laboratory for forensic medicine, and other leading laboratories in China. It is equipped with multi band light source, document inspection instrument, spectrograph, image processing system, scanning electron microscope, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, micro Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer, capillary tube, etc Electrophoresis and DNA analysis system and other advanced high-tech detection equipment. In addition, there are computer square, voice room, campus network (broadband, high-speed) and audio-visual teaching center. It has a well-equipped library, swimming hall, comprehensive training hall, track and field stadium, indoor shooting range, motor vehicle driving training range, foot, basketball, volleyball, tennis court and comfortable student apartment. More than 20 teaching practice bases have been established throughout the country. The college adheres to the policy of political construction and strict management, implements policing management, and implements strict military training and physical training after students enter the college. In addition to learning basic cultural courses and professional courses, the college also needs to master practical skills such as shooting, driving, arresting, catching and fighting. Teaching and training are closely related to the actual combat of public security, and students should be trained to be people's guards with firm politics, proficient in business, excellent style and fair law enforcement. The college has two publications, Journal of China Criminal Police College and China criminal police. Among them, the Journal of China Criminal Police College is the core journal of Natural Science in the national public security system; the Journal of China Criminal Police has become the core journal of Social Science in publicizing public security work principles and policies, carrying out special struggle and combating crime. Since the reform and opening up, in order to meet the needs of public security work and the development of teaching and scientific research, the college has actively introduced foreign intelligence, extensively carried out international academic exchanges, and established friendly cooperative relations with universities and police organs in the United States, Britain, France, Japan, Russia and other countries, as well as in Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions. Every year, the college employs foreign experts and teachers to teach or give lectures, and sends personnel to give lectures and visit abroad.
