Anhui Medical University

Anhui Medical University is a key university of Anhui Province. Its predecessor was the private southeast medical college founded in Shanghai in May 1926. At the end of 1949, in response to the call of the East China Bureau of the CPC Central Committee to "face the countryside and go to the mainland", he moved to Anhui Province and became the first higher medical university in Anhui Province. It was renamed Anhui Medical College in 1952. Approved by the State Education Commission in June 1996, it was renamed Anhui Medical University. The school is located in Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province, with beautiful campus environment and convenient transportation.

The orientation of the university is to build a high-level medical university. The motto of the school is "good at learning and practice, good doctors" written by Cai Yuanpei, a famous modern educator, as the predecessor of the school. The school has established 65 provincial and school level research institutes of clinical pharmacology, dermatology and health management. There are 15 kinds of national journals, including journal of Anhui Medical University, Chinese pharmacology bulletin, Journal of clinical and Experimental Pathology, and Chinese Journal of disease control. The school has a collection of more than 860000 books, more than 300000 Chinese and foreign language printed journals and online electronic journals. It is the Anhui Provincial Central Library of the national biomedical literature resource sharing network.

The university has carried out close exchanges with institutions of higher learning in Germany, Australia, Sweden, the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
