China Women's College

Located in Beijing, the capital of China, China Women's college is the first public full-time undergraduate women's college directly under the all China Women's Federation and the Ministry of education. Its predecessor is the new China Women's vocational school founded by the older generation of women revolutionaries such as Song Qingling, He Xiangning, Cai Chang, Deng Yingchao and Kang Keqing in 1949. In the past 65 years, the university has undergone several leaps and bounds. In 1995, it was renamed China Women's college, and in 2002, it was officially transformed into an ordinary university.

The school always adheres to the goal of training new women for new China established by the older generation of women revolutionaries, and is committed to implementing the basic national policy of gender equality, We should promote the harmonious development of both sexes, serve the all-round development of women, serve the economic and social development, and serve the overall diplomacy of the country. At present, the school has 21 undergraduate majors, involving eight disciplines of law, management, education, literature, economics, engineering, art and science, and four Higher Vocational Majors. There are three national characteristic specialty construction sites, five Beijing characteristic specialty construction sites, two Beijing Comprehensive specialty reform pilot projects, and one master's degree in social work.

The University focuses on cultivating the characteristics and advantages of women / gender research. It is the first university in China to set up a department of women's studies, China Women's development research center and China Women's human rights research center, build a Chinese women's library, and take the lead in recruiting undergraduate students majoring in women's studies and postgraduate students majoring in social work with women's services and women's rights as the research direction The women's / gender research and training base and the national social work professional training base are the Secretariat units of the women's Education Professional Committee of the China Women's Research Association and the China marriage and Family Law Research Association.

The University adheres to the principle of open education and actively carries out all-round and multi-level international exchanges and cooperation. In 2003, he obtained the qualification of recruiting foreign students, and in 2004, he obtained the qualification of recruiting overseas students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. In 2012, he became the foreign aid training base of the Ministry of Commerce. In recent years, it has established cooperative relations with 20 universities and institutions in more than 10 countries and regions. It is the sponsor of the Chinese and foreign women's School Presidents Forum and a member of the world women's Education Alliance. Exchanges with governments and international organizations in many countries and regions have become an important window for the world to understand the Chinese government's promotion of women's education and development.
