Beijing Institute of Electronic Science and technology

Beijing Institute of Electronic Science and technology is an institution of higher learning that trains information security and office automation professionals for party and government organs at all levels. The college is subordinate to the general office of the CPC Central Committee.

The predecessor of the college is the youth training class of the Central Working Committee in Pingshan, Hebei Province, which was founded in August 1947 and is directly managed by the Central Working Committee. Since its establishment, it has experienced the development period of Zhangjiakou Military Commission engineering school, Beijing Electronic College and Beijing Institute of Electronic Science and technology.

Since its establishment, the college has always been cordially concerned and highly valued by the leaders of the Party Central Committee and the general office of the Central Committee. Comrade Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin successively wrote words of encouragement, and Comrade Jiang Zemin also wrote the name of the college. General Secretary Hu Jintao and other central leading comrades have given many important instructions on the construction of the college. Wen Jiabao, Zeng Qinghong, Wang Gang, Li Zhanshu and other central leading comrades have made many important instructions for the development and construction of the college and visited the college many times. The college has five departments: Department of information security, Department of electronic information engineering, Department of computer science and technology, Department of communication engineering, Department of administration; two departments: Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of basic disciplines; seven undergraduate majors: information security, information and computing science, electronic information engineering, computer science and technology, communication engineering, administration, information management and information technology Information system, a joint training postgraduate major: cryptography.

The college enrolls students from all over the country, which is an early admission institution. At present, there are more than 1500 students. Before graduation, students are organized to take part in the civil service examination. Those who pass the examination are recommended by the college to work in the relevant party and government organs according to the needs of the employing units. Since its establishment for more than 60 years, the college has trained and transported a number of excellent and high-quality professionals for the National Party and government organs.

The college pays attention to the cultivation of students' comprehensive quality, especially their political quality. For a long time, the college has been exploring and innovating in student party building, and the proportion of student party members reaches 30%. In the cultural and art activities of college students organized by Beijing, the college students have excellent performance. In recent years, we have achieved gratifying results in the national college students electronic design competition, National Mathematical Modeling Competition and other municipal competitions.

The college has a faculty composed of professors, researchers, associate professors, associate researchers, doctors and masters, and has strong teaching and scientific research strength. 14 outstanding contributors are entitled to the special allowance of the State Council. One teacher won the "famous teacher award of Beijing University". There are a number of "Beijing excellent teachers", "Beijing discipline leaders" and "Beijing backbone teachers".

In scientific research, the college undertakes a number of national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, including National Natural Science Foundation projects and national 863 Program projects, and plays an important role in supporting national construction and social development. Many achievements have won provincial and ministerial awards.

Located at No.7, Fufeng Road, Fengtai District, Beijing, Beijing Institute of Electronic Science and technology is located in Fengtai Park, Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park, adjacent to the headquarters base of the park in the South and the main road of the West Fourth Ring Road in the East. The campus covers an area of more than 120 mu. The main buildings include a teaching building with multi-media classrooms, an audio-visual education center, a library, a culture and Art Center, a sports center, a student apartment and a life service center integrating catering, service and entertainment. Students occupy teaching resources, which is among the best in undergraduate education in China. The campus is covered with green trees, green grass, flowers and beautiful scenery. It has been awarded the titles of "civilized campus" and "civilized unit of the capital" by Beijing municipal government and Beijing Municipal Education Commission.
