Guiyang Preschool Teachers College, the predecessor of Guiyang Preschool Teachers College, was founded in 1984. It is the earliest professional school in Guizhou Province to cultivate and train preschool teachers. It has an important influence and position in the field of preschool education in Guizhou. On December 20, 2012, with the approval of Guizhou Provincial People's Government (QFH [2012] No. 299 "Reply of the provincial people's Government on agreeing to establish Guiyang kindergarten normal college"), it was officially upgraded to Guiyang kindergarten normal college.

The school covers a total area of 474 mu, including 453 mu of Qingzhen new campus and 21 mu of Zhonglie Street campus. The new campus adopts the layout of British style, with different geometric elements forming different visual centers. Each center penetrates each other, and keeps the function of each department running well. The atmosphere of the campus is solemn, giving people a sense of peace and order. We should build an exchange platform, increase the exchange and cooperation with foreign and provincial universities, preschool colleges, scientific research institutions and preschool teacher training centers, realize the cooperation of teacher exchange and teaching and scientific research, seek resource sharing, and boost the development of schools; build a cooperation platform, strengthen the cooperation with 9 cities (prefectures) in the province and 10 districts and counties (cities) in Guiyang City, so as to provide good services for the development of preschool education; On the basis of the original 32 practice bases, build a multi-level two-way practice network, and strive to build a modern pre-school education simulation experiment training center to create conditions for students' high-quality practice and high-quality employment. The innovation collaboration center includes Guizhou preschool education research center, 0-3 years old early education research center, preschool education experimental training center, game and teaching toy research and development center, Guizhou folk music and dance inheritance and communication center, etc. It will take 3-5 years to introduce 1-2 first-class scholars (including migrant scholars) to each center, gather 3-5 high-level experts, and configure research equipment. Promote the development of preschool education in Guizhou with "three platforms and one center".
