Liaoning Normal College of special education, formerly known as Liaoning secondary vocational and technical school for the disabled, was established in 1995. In 2012, Liaoning Vocational College of special education was established with the approval of the provincial government. In March 2013, Liaoning Normal College of special education was established with the approval of the provincial government. It is an independent college of higher special education in our province. The Provincial Department of Education approved the implementation of "3 + 2" higher vocational major independent enrollment, independent examination, independent admission, three-year higher vocational major and Liaoning health vocational and technical college, Liaoning Economic Vocational and technical college, Liaoning Normal College for Nationalities joint school. As a key livelihood project of the provincial government, the new campus is located in Dongling District, Shenyang City. The modern campus, perfect teaching equipment and national leading barrier free facilities have laid a solid foundation for the development of students. After years of construction and development, the comprehensive strength of the school has been significantly enhanced, and a talent training system has been formed, in which art, medicine, e-commerce, special education and other disciplines support each other, and three-year, five-year higher vocational college, one-year and three-year secondary vocational education develop harmoniously. It is one of the largest Vocational Colleges for the disabled in China. The school has won the honorary titles of "national advanced unit of special education", "Liaoning advanced unit of special education system", "Shenyang advanced unit of employment and Entrepreneurship of college graduates".
