Shanxi Administrative Cadre College of politics and law is the only independent adult college of law in our province with nearly 60 years of development history. Its predecessor is Shanxi Administrative Cadre College of politics and law, which was founded in October 1954. In November 1985, with the approval of the provincial people's government, on the basis of the original political and legal cadre school, it was transformed into Shanxi political and legal management cadre college. In 1986, the college began adult education and short-term training for in-service cadres, mainly for the public, procuratorial, legal and department personnel training. By 2001, the college had trained more than 5000 political and legal cadres and 15451 adult college students, which effectively solved the problems of low professional education and law enforcement quality of political and legal team, and made great contributions to promoting social progress and the construction of the rule of law in Shanxi Province "The base of legal education, the cradle of political and legal talents".

In 2002, with the approval of the Provincial Department of education, our college enrolled ordinary college students (becoming one of the school running points of Higher Vocational Education), and also approved the joint correspondence undergraduate and inter provincial enrollment qualifications. At present, the college has formed four types of school running: Ordinary College (including counterpart Education), adult college, undergraduate education from junior college to undergraduate (joint), vocational secondary school; full-time education, correspondence education, amateur education; and dual track school running pattern of coexistence of general education and adult education. At present, the college has 173 teaching staff, including 96 full-time and part-time teachers, 47 with deputy senior titles and 24 with intermediate titles. In addition, 35 experts and scholars are employed as part-time professors and associate professors. The college consists of Department of legal affairs, Department of judicial application, Department of basic education, Department of continuing education and 10 teaching and research departments. There are 21 specialties in higher vocational education, adult college and vocational secondary school. Among them, there are 11 junior college majors in higher vocational education, including legal affairs, judicial assistant, clerk, legal secretary, business and enterprise management, computer application technology, judicial police, civil execution, administrative execution, judicial information and shorthand recording. There are 5 majors in adult junior college, including law, lawyer, economic law, prison administration and administrative law. There are legal affairs, secretary and social security in vocational secondary school There are five majors, i.e. barrier, property management and industrial and commercial administration. At present, there are nearly 3000 students on campus, of which 2382 are full-time students. They have jointly run correspondence undergraduate programs with Nankai University and East China University of political science and law. In 2007, the two correspondence teaching stations were evaluated as good by the provincial expert group, and East China University of political science and law awarded the college the honor of "excellent correspondence teaching station" for many years. At present, a relatively complete legal education system has been initially formed, and the college has entered a new historical development period.

The college is growing in development, with perfect teaching and logistics facilities. The college has office building, teaching building, student apartment, gymnasium, restaurant, auditorium, academic lecture hall, multimedia classroom, computer room, library, etc., with a construction area of 31000 square meters and a collection of more than 68000 books.

Under the correct leadership of the provincial Party committee, the provincial government and the Department of justice, the Party committee of the college has been united in the pursuit of innovation and development in the construction of the team.
