Yulin vocational and technical college is approved by the people's Government of Shaanxi Province and approved by the Education Department of Shaanxi Province. It is planned to be held by the people's Government of Yulin city to serve the construction of energy and chemical industry base in Northern Shaanxi

Yulin vocational and technical college is located in Yulin Economic Development Zone, south of Yuhua Road, west of East Ring Road, east of Beixing Road, 10km away from the urban area. The total area of the project is 718.63 mu, and the planned net land area is 640.68 mu. It is about 680 meters long from north to South and 780 meters wide from east to west, in an irregular "mouth" shape.

Location Yulin city is located in the north of Shaanxi Province, at the junction of Shaanxi, Gansu, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia and Shanxi provinces. Yulin Economic Development Zone, located in the south of Yulin City, is an economic development zone with energy and chemical projects as the main body. Yulin vocational and technical college is located in the south of the Development Zone, adjacent to the urban area in the north, ecological park in the south, Yuxi River in the East and Yuheng Economic Development Zone in the West.

Yulin City, the seat of humanistic city government, has a long history. It belongs to Jin Dynasty in spring and Autumn period, and Wei Dynasty in Warring States period. After Qin Dynasty was unified, it was Shangjun Prefecture. Daxia was built in Eastern Jin Dynasty, and it was repeatedly contested by Northern Song Dynasty, Xixia and Jin Dynasty in Song Dynasty. In history, Fu Su and Meng Tian of Qin Dynasty, Li Guang and Wei Qing of Han Dynasty, Yu Wenkai of Sui Dynasty, Yuchi Jingde and Guo Ziyi of Tang Dynasty, di Qing and Fan Zhongyan of Northern Song Dynasty were stationed here.

Resources Yulin has found 48 kinds of mineral resources in 8 categories, and coal, gas, oil and salt resources are rich in one place, which is rare at home and abroad. Yulin has 1 billion yuan of underground wealth per square kilometer of land, and the potential value of mineral resources exceeds 46 trillion yuan, accounting for 95% of Shaanxi Province and one third of the country.

Transportation Yulin Economic Development Zone is 10km away from the city center, 17km away from the new airport and 3km away from the railway station; National Highway 210 passes through the west side of the college and is connected with Yujing expressway, Shaanxi Inner Mongolia Expressway and 307 expressway, so the transportation is very convenient.

In 1998, with the approval of the former State Planning Commission, Yulin officially became the only energy and chemical industry base in China. In 1999, the central government began to implement the strategy of developing the western region. Yulin city seized this strategic opportunity, focused on the construction of energy and chemical industry base, persisted in laying the foundation, prospering industry, and increased investment, and basically formed a modern transportation, energy, water conservancy, and communication service system. At present, the scale of resource development and investment promotion is constantly expanding, and a number of major projects have been launched one after another. At present, 5 Fortune 500 companies, 14 domestic listed companies and 2 foreign companies have invested in energy and chemical projects and supporting infrastructure projects on a large scale. The construction of Yulin Energy and chemical industry base shows a good momentum of development. By 2010, the city will have a production capacity of 200 million tons of coal, 10 million tons of oil, 120 cubic meters of natural gas, 1 million tons of salt, 10 million kilowatts of electric power, and 10 million tons of energy carrying materials. It will become the source of transporting coal from west to East, the hinterland of transporting gas from west to East, the hub of transmitting electricity from west to East, and an important connecting place of China's energy in the 21st century.
